When a change in member data is recorded that results in a change in members’ risk benefit cover amounts, the evidence of health limits are checked for the relevant risk products.
The BJU3AZ Underwriting batch run can be initiated at any time. If the limit is exceeded, a report of these members is generated. The members' cover is set at the evidence of health limit until the risk underwriter’s decision is recorded. The member’s status is set to "Pending" until such time as a decision is received from the underwriter. When the underwriter’s decision is received the member’s status can be changed on-line to "Accepted" or "Declined". If applicable, a premium loading can be captured on-line which will be used when calculating the members' risk premium contribution.
Note:
When the BJU3AZ Underwriting batch job runs and the Members’ insured cover or salary is checked to the Evidence of Health (EOH) Limit and a Membership Risk Cover record has been created, the system will create a Service Request on My Work with a Process Name of UNDERWRITING and an Activity Name of INITIATE.
