Type of Result (UDPV Definitions)

This field only applies to those schemes that use Flexible Benefit Rules. 

 

The following table contains the values for the UDPV Object Type of Result.

 

Value

Description

AMOUNT

Defines the output of a calculation as an amount

BOOLEAN

Indicates to the process that the input variable type is a ā€˜Y’ or ā€˜N’.  The result returned will be a 1 or 0 respectfully. This result type can only be used when the formula applied to is MEMBER CHOICE and will be validated as such.

DAYS

Defines the output of a calculation as a number of completed days

FACTOR

Defines the output of a calculation as a factor

MONTHS

Defines the output of a calculation as a number of completed months

SERVICE TERM

Defines the output of a calculation as a period of service

YEARS

Defines the output of a calculation as a number of completed years

 

In certain cases these values will have a default value based on the Formula Type selected.  These default values do not apply when updating an existing Benefit Product.
