The beneficiaries of the lump sum death benefit might not be the same as the recipients of the spouses and children pensions, and provision is therefore made for the separate capture of these.
From the Benefit Claim Details screen, select Spouses & Children from the sub-menu on the left.
If no spouses and children details exist, the lower portion of the screen expands to display Spouse & Children. Financial institution details already entered (if any) will be displayed. If the pension is to be purchased, complete the details on this screen (refer to Purchase pension? below). To add spouses and children details instead, remove the tick from the box alongside Purchase Pension from Underwriter?, then click ADD SPOUSE AND CHILDREN DETAILS (refer to Spouses and children details below).

Financial Institution |
The name of the financial institution from which the pension will be purchased. |
Contact Name |
The name of the contact person at the financial institution. |
Telephone Number |
The telephone number of the contact person at the financial institution. |
Fax Number |
The fax number of the contact person at the financial institution. |
Enter the required information, then click SAVE PURCHASE PENSION DETAILS. The details are saved and will be displayed on the screen.
To add spouses and children details, remove the tick from the box alongside Purchase Pension from Underwriter?, then click ADD SPOUSE AND CHILDREN DETAILS.

If spouses and children details already exist, click ADD SPOUSE AND CHILDREN DETAILS on the Spouses & Children screen.
The Spouses & Children Details screen will be displayed.

Enter the name of the bank. To select from a list of available banks, click the LIST button. The Banks screen will be displayed. Select the required bank by clicking the hyperlinked name. |

Enter the branch name or code for the selected bank. To select from a list of available branches, click the LIST button. The Branch Codes screen will be displayed. Select the required branch by clicking the hyperlinked name. |

The type of bank account. Select one of the options from the drop-down list (i.e. current, savings, transmission). |

Account Number |
The bank account number of the recipient of the spouse and children benefit. |

To clear the fields of any data entered, click RESET.
Once all the details have been captured, click SUBMIT. The details are saved and will be displayed on the Spouses & Children screen.
To view or change spouses and children details, or to delete a spouse or child, click on the hyperlinked name.
Click DELETE to delete the person, or make the relevant changes, then click SUBMIT.
Note:
The authorisation is as for the resignation claim, and as for the resignation, the CLIENT aspects of the claim are now complete. After the relevant runs have taken place, the claim will be available for further processing by the fund administrator.
