Once all the necessary details have been added, click SAVE.
A confirmation message will be displayed.

Click OK to confirm that the changes must be saved.
The Policyholder Details screen will be displayed, and a message will confirm that the data has been successfully captured.
When any of the following information is updated on the Policyholder Details screen for a Policyholder for an Endowment Product, the changes will not be committed until they has been authorised on the JU1BA Authorise Personal Details Amendments screen via the POLICY CHANGES Process in My Work:
- Surname
- Maiden Name
- Initials
- Title

Note:
When a Sum Assured, Date of Commencement or Term in Years is updated on the Policyholder Details screen, the user will be prompted to re-calculate the premium and the current membership payment record will be end dated with an effective date equal to the current effective date of change less 1 day.

Policy Changes
When the Sum Assured field is amended and then SAVE is selected, the following message will be displayed:
Amendments detected. Press Calculate to refresh the Premium Amount.
Click OK to remove the message and click CALCULATE.
Note:
The Policy Decision field on the JU4HE Policy Decision Details screen will not be automatically updated.
When a new Policyholder has been added and the Country field on the JU1BK Nature of Product screen for the scheme selected is ZAMBIA, the system will update the value in the Registration Status field for the Policyholder on the JU1BA Client Details screen to APPROVED.
When the Frequency field is amended and then SAVE is selected, the latest Membership Payment Detail record will be end dated and a new Membership Payment Detail record will be created with a value for Payment Frequency equal to the new Frequency selected on the Policyholder Details screen and a Start Date equal to the Effective Date.
When the Annual Increase % field is amended and then SAVE is selected, a new Membership Payment record will be created with a value for Increase Percentage equal to the value selected (0) and a new Membership Payment Detail record with a value for Increase Type equal to NONE and with a Start Date equal to the Effective Date.
Validation of Natural Person
When SAVE is selected, the system will check if there is a Natural Person record with the same Surname, Initials and Date of Birth or the same ID Number and ID Type.
If there is a Natural Person record with the same Code, the following message will be displayed:
There is an existing person with the same Code please select the person via the Person List menu option.
If there is a Natural Person record with the same Surname, Initials and Date of Birth, the following message will be displayed:
There is an existing person with the same surname, initials and date of birth; please select the person via the Person List menu option.
If there is an existing Natural Person record with the same ID Number and ID Type, the following message will be displayed:
There is an existing person with the same ID Number; please select the person via the Person List menu option.
If there is no Natural Person record with the same Surname, Initials and Date of Birth or the same ID Number and ID Type, the system will create a new Natural Person record with the following data:
- Surname
- Initials
- Title
- First Name 1
- First Name 2
- First Name 3
- Date of Birth
- ID Number
- ID Type
A Client record will be created with a Client Type of Natural Person and with the CSA Reference Number.
Validation of Term
The system will validate that a value is captured for only one of the following fields:
- Term in Years
- Sum Assured
- Policy Purpose
When the value for Term is captured, the Maturity Date will be derived as per existing functionality.
The system will create a Member Values record to record the Maturity Date, Sum Assured, Employer information, Policy Purpose, Term, Occupation and Date of Employment
Validation of Minimum and maximum Sum Assured
Where there is a maximum and minimum value for the Sum Assured, a Benefit Product with a Description of MAXIMUM SUM ASSURED must be created in the Benefit Rules when the scheme is launched. A minimum and maximum scale can be setup for this Benefit Product.
The From value on the Scale linked to the Benefit Product will define the minimum and the To value the maximum. A Package with a purpose of VALIDATION must be linked to a Benefit Event with an Event Category of MATURITY. When a sum assured is captured on the Policyholder Details screen, the system will read for a Benefit Package with a Purpose of VALIDATION and with an Benefit Event with an Event Category of MATURITY and will read the Scale linked to the Benefit Product with a Description of MAXIMUM SUM ASSURED. If the value captured or derived for Term is less than the From value, the following error message will be displayed:
The sum assured is less than the minimum allowed.
If the value captured or derived for Term is greater than the To value on the Scale, the following error message will be displayed:
The sum assured is greater than the maximum allowed.
The system will create a Member Values record with a Type of ASSURANCE DETS to record the following values with an Effective Date equal to the Date of Commencement captured.
As a person can have multiple active endowment policies, multiple Memberships can be created for the same person and Product if the Type of Product is not PRESERVATION or RETIREMENT FUND irrespective of the Membership Status.
If there is an existing Natural Person record with the same Surname, Initials and Date of Birth a message will be displayed to indicate that it is a potential duplicate and the option will be provided to link the Membership to the existing Natural Person record. When a Member is selected the details listed above will be displayed for the Membership selected.
Validation of Policy Type
The Policy Type is the Benefit Membership Group and it defines the Frequency and the number of tranches. The number of tranches can’t be changed, only the frequency.
When the Policy Type dropdown list is selected, the system will find the Benefit Membership Groups for which the value for N_NUM_SPARE (Number of Tranches) is the same as the value for the current Membership Group to which the Membership is linked and only display the Membership Groups found for selection.
When SAVE is selected, the system will check that the Effective Date is equal to the Policy Anniversary Date i.e. the Effective Date month is equal to the Month of the Commencement Date of the Membership.
If it is not, the system will display the following error message:
The policy can only be changed on the policy anniversary date.
Validation of Annual Increase %
The Policyholder can only opt out of an automated Annual Premium increase. Therefore an update will only be enabled if the current value is not zero and only a value of zero will be enabled to be captured.
Validation of Effective Date
The system will default to the first day of the current month and the month and year will be enabled for amended.
