This report summarizes the member movements for the UK schemes for a defined period and provides an extract of active member, deferred member and pensioner data across all schemes as at a specified date.
This information is included in the existing Trustee Report, but that report does not contain the required level of detail.
The report includes the number of members for each of the categories in the table below for each scheme within the UK and a total.

Note 1:
The members with a status of EXIT IN PROCESS (claim initiated but not yet paid), as at the date that the report is run are included in the Leavers Options Pending category. When their status changes to EXIT FINALISED they will be included in the appropriate exit category (normal retirement, early retirement, ill-health retirement, leaver, etc.). The EXIT FINALISED members will be deducted from the number of active members as at the start date of the report and therefore they will be included in the number of active members as at the start date of the report.
To cater for this, the members with a status of EXIT IN PROCESS as at the date report is run will be included in the number of active members as at the start of the reporting period. This is important as it ensures that the members are ultimately included in the correct category of exit to make the report meaningful. If not, a large number of members will simply be reported in the Leavers Options Pending category. It does, however, mean that the number of active members as at the start of the reporting period will not agree with number of active members as at the end date of the previous report. A note to the effect that this is due to the Leavers Options Pending members is included in the report.
Note 2:
Serious ill-health (highest level) cases are included in the Ill-health Enhanced category.
- Serious Ill-health (lowest level) cases are included in the Ill-health Reduced category.
- Open market annuities include all types of retirement (normal, early, late, ill-health), for which an annuity is purchased on the open market.
- Leavers options pending includes all members for which notification of exit has been received. From a Vision perspective this means memberships with a status of EXIT IN PROCESS.
- Deferred leavers are not required.
