As unit prices may be defined at either a product or an investment medium level, these notes apply to both levels.
Unit prices can be captured for individual products or investment mediums, or for bulk products or investment mediums.
In order to determine the value of member investments, prices are captured on either a daily or a monthly basis.
The system provides the following functionality:
- Capturing of unit prices and the validation of the effective date and price
- Updating of the investment medium or portfolio unit prices captured
- Enquiry of investment unit prices.
Note:
In order to limit the risk of users not involved with the administration of products operating in other countries capturing and authorizing the unit prices for those countries, additional security is applied. If a user is not linked to a team to which one of the products linked to that team has a country equal to the country selected on the unit price page they will not be enabled to authorize the unit prices for that country.
