Home > Auxiliary Activities > Language Translation > Language Translation
By default, benefit statements and membership certificates are produced in English. If these are required to be produced in any other language, translation tables need to be created. These tables will show the English wording and the equivalent words or phrases in the other language.
When benefit statements and membership certificates are produced, if there is a language in the translation tables that matches the language indicator on the member record, then the benefit statement and membership certificates will be translated into that language.

When the system processes a Benefit Statement Translation Value, it will first check if anything is defined at a scheme level (Scheme > Formats > Translation Values). If nothing is defined, the system will use what is defined at an Accounting or an Infrastructure level.
