This facility enables you to load various types of document for storage.
From the Benefit Claim Details screen, select Load Document from the sub-menu menu on the left.
The right-hand portion of the screen expands to display Claim Control Checklist and Document Upload.
Claim Control Checklist
The Claim Control Checklist section displays a list of form types and tick-boxes.
View and capture data as follows:
Form |
The name of a form that may be required in the Claim Process for this member. |
Form Received |
Tick the tick-box to indicate that this form has been received for this member. |
Not Applicable |
Tick the tick-box to indicate that this form is not required for the Claim Process for this member. |
Once the necessary data has been captured, click SUBMIT.
The following message on the screen will confirm that the update has successful:
Update successful
Document Upload
The Document Upload section facilitates the uploading of documents for the member.
View and capture data as follows:
Document Type |
Select a type of document to be uploaded, from the drop-down, e.g. Claim Form. |
Comment |
Capture any free-form text about the document to be uploaded. |
Please select a file to Upload |
Click BROWSE. This will allow you to search the available drives (user network or local) for the file to be loaded.
Highlight the required file, then click OPEN.
Note: Only files with txt, PDF, HTM, HTML, Doc or Docx extensions can be uploaded. |
Once the necessary data has been captured, click SUBMIT.
The following message on the screen will confirm that the upload has been successful:
File Upload successful
This facility enables you to view documents loaded in the Claim Process for this member.
From the Benefit Claim Details screen, select View Document from the sub-menu menu on the left.
The right-hand portion of the screen expands to display Claim Control Checklist and Document Uploaded.
Claim Control Checklist
The Claim Control Checklist section displays a list of the form types received and the form types that are not applicable to the member. These selections may be edited.
To edit the Claim Control Checklist section, tick or un-tick the relevant tick-boxes and click SUBMIT.
The following message on the screen will confirm that the update has successful:
Update successful
Documents Uploaded
The Documents Uploaded section displays all documents uploaded for the member.
The following columns are displayed:
Document Categories |
Click alongside Document Categories, then select the required document category to be viewed from the drop-down list. The Document Categories field value selected will determine which Document Types are displayed for selection. |
Document Type |
The type of file uploaded for the member, e.g. Claim Form.
Click alongside Document Type to select from a drop-down list of document types. The Document Type field values displayed for selection are determined by the Document Category selected in the Document Categories field. |
Document Name |
A hyperlinked name of a document uploaded for the member. |
To filter the list of documents by type, select a document type from the drop-down list in the Document Type field.
Note:
The system will only display the document categories and document types relevant to the particular menu and to which the user has access.
To view a document, click a hyperlinked document name in the Document Name column.
To capture Storage Information for the document, click at the end of the line.
The Storage Information screen will be displayed.
This screen allows for the capture of the Company, Region and Box Number for the selected document.
Capture information as follows:
Company |
Select a Company from the drop-down list. |
Region |
Select a Region from the drop-down list. |
Box Number |
The Box Number where the document is stored
This field is alphanumeric. |
Click SAVE.
The Documents Uploaded screen will display the data captured in the Company, Region and Box Number fields.

If the document is in PDF format, the document will be displayed on the screen below the Document Uploaded section.
When menu selections are made from any of the left hand menu options, the last PDF document opened will remain on display on the right-hand side of the screen
This facilitates the completion of the various screens displayed when one of the menu options is selected from the Claim Details sub-menu on the left.
Example:
Select View Document from the Claim Details sub-menu, and then select a PDF document to display.
Select Payment Allocation from the Claim Details sub-menu. The PDF document continues to be displayed when the Payment Allocation screen is opened for completion.
If the document selected has an extension of txt, PDF, HTM, HTML, Doc or Docx, the document will be displayed separately. i.e not on the Claims screen.
