Discontinuing Products

Overview

The current business practice is to move the product into a Discontinuance Team and to record the discontinuance date on the system. 

 

Move product to a discontinuance team

Navigation

From the main menu, select Security, then select Team Definition from the top menu.

 

 

The JU4AT Team List screen is displayed.

 

 

Select a Team from the list and select Associate to Product from the sub-menu on the left

 

 

The JU4AU Team / Product Association screen will be displayed.

 

 

Select the product from the Potential Product column and insert it into the Selected Product column.

Record discontinuance date

Navigation

From the main menu, select Products, then select LIST from the top menu.

 

 

Select the product from the JU1BK List screen.

 

 

The sub-menu on the left will be enabled for selection.  Select Discontinuance.

 

 

The JU1BT Scheme Discontinuance screen will be displayed.

 

 

The completion of both date fields is mandatory.  Capture a date for both the date on which the product became paid-up and the discontinuance date. 

 

Note:

There is no end date for the product.  The dates captured on this screen are for informational purposes only and do not affect any of the processes.
