Claim, Quote and Projection Input Questions

Overview

When a user, using the Flexible Benefit Rules, configures a Scale of Benefits record for a Benefit Product with a Formula Applied To value of MEMBER CHOICE, and defines a specific Classification on the Scale of Benefits record, the corresponding questions will be displayed at the time of the Quote/Projection/Claim, if the Benefit Product in question is defined in the Benefit Package (WITHDRAWAL, DEATH OF MEMBER, etc), being used.  Refer to the relevant screens displayed below under Benefit product.

 

When the question is answered, the answers are stored on the Member Values table for use in the benefit calculation.

Endowment Products

For the Disability and Death Claim Process for Endowment Products, there are validation questions which determine if a claim is paid out or repudiated.  Select YES or NO from the drop-down list for each question.

If a Death Claim is repudiated, an option is given for a surrender claim to be paid out and the policy is end dated.

If a Disability Claim is repudiated, an option is given for the policy to be made paid up.

In Addition to this, an Ex-Gratia or Loss Event payment can be processed where a management decision is taken to pay out the claim irrespective of the repudiation.  For this, any value can be paid out based on the outcome of the decision.
