Access Overview

In order for a new user to have security access to the system, the new user must first be registered as a user and then linked to a person.

Once the new user has been registered, the user must be assigned a role.  The role defines the security profile that is granted to a user to access certain functionality.

These roles may be that of Superuser, Payroll, Income, Member, Reporting, Benefit, General or Employer.

Notes:

Functional Security      Defines the functions that a user can perform on any data to which the user has access.

Data Level Security      Defines the set of data to which the user has access.

The role of Superuser allows the user to perform all of the roles.

Note:

Superuser access gives access to the main functionality menu and the flows to the menus, but access to the actual data and screens, etc. is via the other security mechanisms (e.g. data level security).
