ACB File Extract

Overview

The following is required in the Debit Order Process as per the notices issued by BankservAfrica to improve the identification of transactions for clients and to effectively facilitate stop payments.

For EFT Debits, the User Reference field in the Standard Transaction record must contain the following:

First 10 characters – The user abbreviated name registered with BankservAfrica.  (An abbreviation of the Scheme Name and Pay Centre Code).

Next 14 characters – debit order / mandate agreement number.

Remaining 6 characters – free format, may be the date, but is not mandatory (Spaces).

The ACB file extract will read the Bank Interface record in the same way as for all other interfaces in place of the Scheme Parameters.  The Scheme Parameter ACB USER REFER will then be used to record the abbreviated form of the Scheme name for inclusion in the User Reference field.

For Debit Order Collections, when the BJU2AB_EFT batch job runs and the Accounting Process on the BT linked to the EFT Instruction record being processed is INCOME, and the Interface Type for the Credit DTI Account on the EFT Instruction is ACB, the system will create the EFT file fields in the tables below as per the details in the Source column.
